Whacked a poplar that blew over during isabel a few years back..been leaning on three or four other trees..and it was in my way...pushed the brush back from around it and hooked the PI offit....notched and dropped no sweat...took a rolling hitch with a couple snatch straps and dropped the BHDT (Big Honkin'
Diesel Truck) in 4 low and yatched it outta the woods...start to stop..15 minutes<G>

bucked the trunk up to mill...not for lumber...not from a three year old leaner anyway..i'm not making skis....but i'll mill the trunks and make little benches
for the girls to watch the chickens and goats and rabbits and gardens and such..

busted the rest up for firewood and bonfire...

Life is good and I love this place. :greenchainsaw:

Makes some of the finest siding if it's sound.

nah..live leaner and not big enough to have a heart...log is not even remotely
concentric...might make timbers..but benches for little girls are more important... :yoyo:
