a little comment on bar oil

ive been experimenting with narrow kerf 95vp and nk bar.. everything was as hoped except the bar an sprocket area was getting very hot..now the chains smooth on the stihl sprocket so that ,i didnt think was the problem..
answer .. id been using my winter bar oil ..
switched to uncut bar oil,and problem solved..i would not have thot it would make that much difference..but in this case bar oil did make a difference.. mabe this will help somebody..

Most Summer weight B & C oil uses 30W base.
Winter is about 10W.


Sure can make a difference.

I ran walmart brand summer weight bar oil all winter in my Dolmar 7900 without issue.

Try synthetic, your bar will last forever

Why not try Fish oil, it`s reputed to keep the oil holes and bar groove open.

well heck ,,ill just get some synthetic fish oil and have the perfect bar oil.

Try corn hole oil. Keeps it greased and lubed, is natural so no polution, and your holes will stay open. PLus, you dont get that smell.
