I brought this home today in the Subaru lowboy. I think it lacks an air conditioner.

So is this a demo unit, lease, or you just pay cash...? Care to share the number of your sales rep...?

:smile2:

Well, here's the story. I belong to the Warshington Farm Forestry Assn. There was a dinner on Tuesday night. I did not go, it is a bit of a drive. A friend tried to bribe me with the fact that they will have drawings for prizes, and you could buy tickets. Quite a few things were donated. So, after saying, "I never win anything but take this." I gave her twenty bucks.

I did not win the chainsaw. She said it was too tiny anyway. I did win the processor, a hat, a cupholder, a home made maple bench, and a gift certificate for $25 in gas. She, who usually wins stuff, won earmuffs.

I guess her table mates were encouraging her to swap with me, without my knowing.

I did have to drive out to pick up my loot. I was told I better get out there today, because her husband was wanting to open the box to play with the processor.

However, I don't think that model is practical for our terrain. It is more of the Wisconsin Up Nort style. But I'll deal with it. :smile2:

That's a flatland type of thing, alright. It will go over easily, you should pump salt water (won't freeze) into the tires in order to get the balance a bit lower.

OK, I'll get my old people eye glasses on, and look for the tire valve stem? Or whatever there is to pump a few eyedroppers in.

I saw the tire ones work in Wisconsin. Around here, it is all track machines with the leveling cabs.
We're getting snow this morning so I'm glad it came with chains already on.

I saw one like that working on a cut to length side on a state sale up on the Clearwater. I think it was the next size larger though.:smile2:

Just looking at those chains has me reaching for the Excedrin bottle. We chained up a couple of skidders this morning. I think that iron gets heavier every year.

That machine is too shiny. Too new. Roll it down the hill a few times in the dust and splash some diesel and hydraulic oil all over it. Crack one of the windows and fix it with duct tape . Throw a bunch of tiny cigarette butts or maybe an empty snoose can in the cab. Burn off about half the tire tread and put some big gouge marks in the side walls. Or like I heard a side-rod say to a Catskinner one day..."run it like it's a leased machine...'cause it is".

It came with a dentist pick type thingie, with a very thin sharp point on the other end. I suspect, with the old people glasses on, one might take the chains off. But I think it'll need them on for the next couple of days.

I pulled out what looked like instructions, but it was a mini-brochure on what the full size one can do, printed in very small print. There's a CD also that I have not looked at.

It reminded me of a Wisconsin logger who had a rubber tired processor. Usually, a little yapper Pekinese rat dog rode along. She had the job of yapping when somebody like me came along.

They need to make an itty bitty rat dog for it.
