I have the movie of the machine picking up the log but not a picture because i was busy and in the machine working. The log you see in the picture was bout 3 foot diameter and 12 feet long.I will next time have my worker take some pictures.I wanted to down load movie but i guess its too big. These other pictures are of norway spruce in the lake and i used my skid to pull it out.

3' wide? I think you were stretching it. The one on the machine may be 24".

Do you mean the oak (?) log laying on the ground in the first pic?

grapple

Time for a grapple to go with an awesome machine.
When i have extra money wonder when that will be.BRANCH MANAGER CEO
50" opening is about 5500 boss 60" about 6500. BEAVER SQUEZER is about 10,000 opening 62".If i had the money i would get ryan grapple 72" opening.I have a bucket truck and a log truck engine needs rebuild on the log truck so that is number one next then maybe grapple when i can.Funny thing is when i bought my skidsteer i had in mind to use it with my log truck.I bought skid steer in feb 2007 then march log truck decided go oh well.Thats the first time i pick up piece that big was not sure how it would be.Machine can pick 3,000 lb 10 and 1/2 feet high vertical lift safely.

looks cool. I don't think that oak log is 3' DBH though. Maybe 30" across the hinge. But that doesn't really matter, is a damn big log and impressive that your machine lifted it! Did you repaint the bobcat in your company colors? Looks distinctive. Do you find that the forks work well for picking up logs or is it difficult to get them balanced? Cool pictures too. Nice job.... Mike

Came that way painted.I did not like the color at first now im very happy with it.I bought that machine with out looking at it 450 hours 32,000.When it pulled up in front of my house i was thinking that thing is huge lol.I keep it in my garage.Person that owned it painted every thing those colors.Forks i got on craigslist for 400 they are 11 or 14 years old but they do that job.New the forks go for about 850 to 900.They are bobcat forks.I wanted to get the log close i was afraid if it is too far out on the forks i might break the forks. That was my first time picking up a log that size.Yes that log is about 2 1/2 sorry about the exageration.I have a one yard snow bucket bob cat and the forks.Spread the forks wide and pick up the log in the middle and you'll be fine stay on flat land.As you can see i dont abuse my machine been there done that in rock querry long time ago.
