"They" sometimes say Alamo loses preventive efficacy after several treatments two years apart. (I'm in an oak wilt center.) "They" say to spend the propiconazole $ on replacement trees. But I can't replace three big live oaks in a motte. I've successfully treated them and others three times since nearby oaks died. What to do? (I can't trench; I'm in central Texas.)

Who’s they?
I would be injecting propiconazole on an every other year basis if I lived in an area of infection and owned high value trees. The chemical is cheap enough.

People seem to avoid this question. Is it either too controversial or too basic to warrant a response?
So double thanks for your insight and for responding at all. "They" are a couple of arborists who've seen my acre. They've been especially critical of me injecting "ordinary" trees as a ring of protection around the high value trees, which I think are an obvious choice for Alamo.
Opinions about Alamo as a ring of protection?

Alamo (propiconazole) is the only thing I am aware of labeled for oak wilt prevention. It is probable that other injectable propiconazoles are labeled for it as well.
