Not sure if this is the right way to go about this but I'm after about 500m of 2.5mm 12-strand dyneema cord and am thinking about buying a 1000m roll.
So, hopefully I can find someone to buy the other half or enough people to buy portions thereof to add up to about that sort of length.

It'll be ex: China so there's no telling if it is even legit dyneema, or if the minimum breaking strain advised of 600kgs (1200?Lbs) is accurate, and it'll be coming to me in NZ and I'll send on to whoever, wherever, only if it looks good (if it doesn't then I'm screwed, not you).

Generally, the shipping costs from NZ to the rest of the world are relatively cheap and it's very lightweight stuff so I don't think the shipping costs to be a major.

It'll work out about US$0.19 per foot plus shipping from NZ. You'll have to work out if there are any customs charges at your end.

Just keen to see if anyone might be potentially interested in taking some of this off my hands if it actually gets to me and looks good? I'll take the risk it doesn't get to me or is rubbish.

I just don't want to buy 1000m if it looks like I may struggle to recover the cost of about half of it.

Whadda yous fellas reckon? Waste of time and money? Too risky? Know of any better options please?

The last US-eran I sent anything was JJ, so you can ask him if I'm legit. Have bought a few things for Aussie ASers from time to time also.
