Seems like it's been one hell of a storm season already this year with all the tornadoes and major storms across much of the country. Being in Alabama, I found it interesting that they are forecasting a very active hurricane season as well.

An update on the storms:

State of 2011 Atlantic Hurricane Season

I saw where they are saying that the three storms that are out there now are in a "strange configuration" and could make for an "interesting convergence".

That remains to be seen but I think we are in for another big one at some point this year.
 
Hurricane Katia rumbled past us about 10am this morning, still just over 200 miles away but we had awesome waves and surf since Monday...only got to about 40kn today, thank goodness, we were watching Katia since last Sunday hoping it would stay away...the trees are fine but the beaches and sea cliffs will have taken a beating.

Maria is the next in line...
