Air Spade

Hey there fellas. I remember the discussion this past summer about air spades and what they can do. I was wondering though for those of you who have them 1) how much do they cost? 2) how long did it take once you ordered it to get it delivered?

Also, if I am not mistaken, they run off of regular tow behind compressors right?

they're around $1400.

shipping depends on parts availibility, usualy they can ship right away.

I think a they need 250cfm min. Not sure, but not more.

you can make somethin similar for less then $30 but it will work nowhere near as well in hard dry compacted clays. The AS has supersonic airflow and is designed to give a true colomn of air. The difference between a spray gun and a garden nozzel.

If you are doing any basal excavations it is a real asset.

Thanx JPS. I was hopin to have maybe sold a few basal excavation jobs. We will see for the future though

If a tree looks like a post in the ground, then it has future probelms waiting to happen.
