We just ran across a bug that looked like a smaller Asian Longhorned Beetle in a crabapple. It was about half an inch long, but the markings were the same as ALB. The larva looked different than ALB larva, and everything I've researched says they don't really use crabapples as a host (especially when there were plenty of maples around). It's definitely not a flat-headed apple borer. Anybody have any ideas on this one?
