I have a 1994 C7500 truck with a large utility box and a 48Ft. Hi-Ranger boom w/bucket. Truck was an old con ed truck (Edison utility truck). The truck has been well maintained and is in very good condition. After using the truck the other day the men shut the truck down and secured everything. I returned later that evening to bring the truck home and turned the key to start and nothing. The truck has 50,000 miles on a ct3126 diesel engine and a automatic Allison MD3060 trans. The trans is operated with a six button electronic push pad near the drivers door. The two digital displays on the push pad are showing back slash with dashes through them. The pad will not respond to any commands. We checked for battery voltage all was good. We tried to pull battery cables to reset codes no luck. The engine does stat when you use a jumper at the starter. Had the truck towed to a great diesel mechanic but electronics is not his specialty. Has anyone had any experience with the diagnostics of this type of problems? Any guidance would be appreciated.
