Hi everyone, I just joined and I live in Hawaii, I harvest a lot of Hawaiian woods and sell things I make from the wood and I sell the wood too.
I have cut down hundreds of trees but all of them have been from the ground, I will be harvesting a bunch of Monkey Pod trees the were going to be bull dozed and I will need to climb in some of these trees, I have a bunch questions but for now I will ask a few, I have a full body saftey harness from "North" is this a good company? also when I put the harness on should it be tight around the legs or just snug?
One more question, is there anyone here from Hawaii? Thanks and aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii, Koa capital of the world.

Howzit kalai! I'm from Kailua on Oahu, born and raised there. I am now currently in Oregon and just finished up my forestry degree. My grandparents used to live big island and we knew a really good wood worker there out of Hawi. we still have trash cans full of koa scap from him that we brought to oahu, mean curly stuff that my dad uses for fancy boxes and show paddles. Where are you on the big island? I will hopefully be moving back to oahu but possibly big island depending on jobs...Aloha!

Hozit Eastside, I went to Ben Parker, King and then Castle in Kaneohe then I came to live on the Big Island just outside of Hilo in Mountain View. Koa is getting costly now days, do you remember the name of the woodworker in Hawi, I know a few of them up there. Aloha.

Aloha and welcome to the AS forums.

Monkey pods. Wow, that's a term I haven't heard since I was a little kid. I was born in Aiea on Oahu. Military brat.
