Another "Is this a good deal?" thread

Hi folks,

So I was casually surfing Craigslist last night looking for a bookcase for the living room and an ad that I was looking at said, at the bottom of the listing, "also a couple old non running chainsaws". Of course I saw this as divine intervention telling me to spend money on chainsaws instead of actual household needs so I inquired and was sent pics. Looks like 2 Dolmar 133's, 1 Echo 602VL, 1 Echo CS590 Timber Wolf, and 1 Echo CS370. Got him down to $150 for the whole bunch but wanted some opinions first.

My only real need (ok, ok, it's a want) is for a bigger saw. And the Dolmar 133s fit the bill at 85cc. Anyone have any thoughts/opinions on the 133? The other saws will just be icing on the cake as I'm really just looking for a bigger saw to ad to the collection. Though I have heard that some people like the Timber Wolf.

Anyhow, any input is much appreciated!

How so? I've never owned a Dolmar but was always led to believe that they are a pro grade saw? Hard to find parts?

the dolmar's are worth more than you paid for all the saws ..hopefully they run i believe they had issues with coil's ....they are good saws

Yes, spark is the bigger issue with the 133, if they have spark they are worth at least $150. each.

$150 for all of them? Sounds like you robbed him! LOL Have you seen what a Timberwolf goes for on the bay? They're getting (well, asking) some pretty steep prices. Speaking of that... how much you want for it? That's one I've been wanting to get my hands on, but flea-bay prices are too outrageous...
