I've looked this site over but cannot find any answers.
I'm curious how Echos rate in power but the only responses I've seen are your typical "they don't publish the power ratings because they suck."

I just got a refurbished CS-330t for $175 (like new condition) and it runs pretty darn well.
I'm curious how much power it makes, but I haven't run any other TH saws so I can't compare.

The one it compares the closest to is the MS192t.
By the way watch out if you are climbing with that saw because the oiler pumps the whole time it is running on the 330.

The only Echo power rating that I actually remember is for the 670, 3.23 kW (a "translation" from 4.4 hp I believe) for a quite heavy saw - 14 lbs? :hmm3grin2orange:

No wonder that they don't publish them any more.

Echo isn't known for big power but they are known to last one helluva long time. They don't seem to go for all the gusto power but instead a nice smooth realiable machine. Their trimmers are huge sellers.

IMO, their trimmers are the best on the market right now and their saw power ratings suck!

I think every trimmer maker in the world has been trying for years to out sell Echo on trimmers, no one has yet to do it. Their saws are as you say, short on power and plenty on weight, but I've had alot Echo's come in for new chains that are well over 20 years old and still running sweet. They seem to hold up quite well..

specs.

I have their bottom line straight shaft, the SRM-210 I think.
For it's little 22cc motor it seems to out-whack the 28cc Husqvarna we have at work.

Cool, thanks for the info

If my 330T is 1.55hp then the MS200T must be a monster of a TH saw.

But...1/3 the cost for 3/4 of the performance isn't bad for my low budget.

IMO
the ms200t has no real compation as for power to weigh and featers at tgis time. I did a lot of research and hands on check outs before I came to this conclusion.
2nd place is distant but a few are running in a tight pack for second.
I dont have a ms200t but it is on the top of my NEED TO GET LIST.

Hope It serves you well
