If you find yourself headed back towards the mountain (raineer) stop in at the "elbe mall" (on the shores of alder lake) my personal favorite stihl shop in the area he also has a large collection of used stuff and loves to talk saws cheaper than the next closest shop "ron jones" . fun couple of guys in there

Sorry to ask, but I've been through Elbe, apparently missed the "mall". Is it in one of the train cars?

There is a saw shop that sells Stihls exclusively just south of Madsen's about a mile. Google Service Saw Chehalis. I have to give them a plug because they are excellent to deal with and also have all the Stihls on display.

Both stores get a lot of business from genuine, real fallers. Chehalis is halfway between Seattle and Portland on I-5.

Yet another independently owned store in Chehalis called Sunbirds, has 3 aisles of rigging clothes should you want to dress up like Axmen. They sell Romeos, also.

Madsens has the selection for sure but coming from a lewis/ grays harbor local Service Saw in Chehalis is the only way to go. Their customer service is head and shoulders above Madsens. It's a little bit of a drive from Seattle but the logging museum in Forks, WA is another cool attraction to see. Anyways good luck and have fun.

Yaaay! Service Saw has taken my saw in the morning, and gotten the needed work done in the same day because they know it is a long drive for me to get there. I like those guys. They also have popcorn, coffee and sometimes donuts.:msp_ohmy: It is smaller than Madsen's but would be worth you stopping in. It isn't out of the way.

Go south on the one way road that Madsen's is on. At Sunbirds/Staples, get into the left lane and go across the railroad overpass. Then take a left turn before going across the freeway. You'll see a Shell station on the right side, and Service Saw is on the left. There's also some logging equipment parked in that area.

I live north of Seattle (about hours drive up I-5) and I dont go below Marysville unless I'm heading to sprint car races on the west coast :)
