I visited the local distribution hub of my local hardware chain today. They had two new Stihl 023C's sitting on the shelf that have been there since '01. I had one shipped to the store where I do loads of business and know the manager well. I'm wondering if this saw is worth the effort and what you might think it is worth. As stated, I know the manager and he'll probably discount it for me so they can get rid of it, as it's been on their books for five years. I already have an MS260, MS440 and a PS-9010 so I'm not exactly sure what nitch I'm trying to fill here but, it sure is fun! Originally, I was looking for a smaller saw than the 260. This obviously is not that much smaller but, it kind of appeals to me. Originally, I was looking for something around eight pounds, give or take. Is this just an older version of the current MS170 thru MS250 class or something a bit better?
Thanks, Jay

Ahh...just buy it and give it your opinion. We cannot buy one new but the used market it important and if it is a good homeowner saw with fully adjustabe carb it is interesting!:blob2:

It's basically the same as the MS230 (yes, it's back again). Just an MS250 with a smaller bore. Uninspiring in comparison to the 026/MS260...
