I believe its called a Teupen

I would like to hear the replies as well. Ive been getting Durolane shots in both knees every six months to postpone the inevitable. Seems to help, but it's expen$ive.

Best of luck:msp_thumbup:

I get shots about every 3 months; they sure feel cold when they are giving ya those shots and those needle are long also

Thanks for the well wishes. That Teupen post went right over my head until I read Deevo's comment. I thought it was some medical procedure I'd never heard of.:) The lift may be the answer and since it was an extra dry summer I used it on almost every job. 'Problem is that the trees don't stop at 60 ft. I had surgery in the spring and thought I had it fixed but I guess not. I didn't want to ask the surgeon too many questions because in the spring he told me to have it the knee replaced ONLY after I quit climbing. Guess I'll just have to see how it feels. I'm still rehabbing the broken finger so this year's done anyhow and I'll have until Feb or March to decide whether or not to call it quits. I'm no good at being a spectator so if I can't do the work myself I'll probably have a great big tree man garage sale.

Go strong bro! in 2004 i was a passenger in a head on crash with a truck, lucky for me i lived, but the chassis of the van i was in crushed my right leg and it was ripped open from my upper quad to down below my knee, nothing like looking at your own glossy white cracked bones:msp_ohmy:

Lots of surgery and doctors, i could not bend my leg for six months which makes things like sitting on the toilet a terribly hard task. struggled for some time, however i did complete several rpg games.

Months went by and the specialists said that ill never be able to walk and do things again as i used to, which for me made me very angry with the level of activity i was used to, so i started training my leg to get stronger than before, more months past and more, then i reached my personal best in the squat rack..160kg for 12 reps..so saying that..the doctors and specialists can go fist themselves!

Today i am a fulltime climbing arborsist, in the trees all day every day..will is the key, i will admit though, when the cold nights come in i really can feel it in my right leg.

All the best mate.
