Didn't see any new threads about it, anyone going? I have not been there since high school. Is is worth it? Looks like it is $55 to get through the door, is that correct? Thanks for the input.

It's in Boston. I went last year because they were hosting an ISA exam in the morning. Once I finished my test I got out of there. The facility looked pretty nice, but I'm not into driving 3+ hrs there and back for things that don't really appeal to me.

So how did you do on the test?

I passed.

Last year when I went, I stayed with a friend outside of the city for a night because the test was as 8:00 AM if I'm not mistaken. It's not a bad show to attend for a day, however to have to get a hotel room for a few nights is a bit much, because they spread out the arborist seminars over the course of the entire show... might be better if they did arborists on one day, landscapers on another, and so on and so forth. Some guys I know went a couple of years ago with their people, got a couple of rooms for 3 nights... they said they'd never do that again for what they got from it.

i went there last year with my school. they had this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4wke7lgwTU there and i honestly learned more from him then any other way besides experience of coarse. They have alot of equipment dealers there. Bandit, vermeer, altec and i think morbark were all there. Husqvarna, stihl, echo, exc were all there . They also had every single piece of climbing gear that ive ever seen or heard of. Bucket trucks, 1 ton accessories, spray rigs. If you live in new England i would go if i were you. I tried on countless saddles to see which one fit me the best. If you can i would go if i were you.

What an absolute f&&(;ng nightmare Boston is. Took me 3.5 hours to drive in from 75 miles to the west. I'm just about home and I'm working on a solid 2.5 hours to get there. I couldn't imagine living out there, I'd need a therapist.

Boston was great. I was not impressed with GUy meuillar at all. He just likes ot hear himself talk. His information was very intresting but his personal antics made him look like a fool.
A guy from Ohio state di d a pruning seminar that was repetative for me, but had a lot of really good principles for the unexperienced arborist/nurseryman etc..
and finally,
the Brighton Beer Garden wasnt too shabby either..
