Anyone going to the PennDel Shade Tree Symposium?

Just wondering if anyone local or afar is going to the PennDel Shade Tree Symposium in Lancaster PA?

I have always heard over the years that is a real good one.

Sad thing with Pen-Del is they seem to always have their meets out East, very rareley do they hold events in the western part, One would be better to join an Ohio chapter if your are in the western part of the state!

I do understand that Pen-Del does include Delaware so im sure that is part of the reason! Just would be nice to have an event set up in the middle somewhere!

Shigo was a frequent speaker.

I assume you had the chance to see shigo speak when you were in del? Shigo was a little berfore my time.

Not to my knowledge, they actually have a small office in the Pittsburgh area or atleast they did. Not sure if anything has changed in chapter selection.

I have heard their meets/symposiums are pretty good!

I've heard Shigo speak maybe a dozen times not including a three day seminar that he and Matheck gave at Shigo's place in NH. I believe the seminar was titled 'How trees stand up' but I could be mistaken. It was the subject for sure though. You missed a giant of a mind and one who could hold an audience like an Evangelist at an old time southern baptist revival.

Probably not in the cards for me. Not a real good time to be flying IMO. Maybe meet you some other time as I have fam in NJ Phil area.
