I saw in my Stihl manual that you can get an optional “Arctic version” 440/460 which comes with an electrically heated handlebar and carburetor.

Does this just keep your left hand warm? Or are both left and right handles heated?

Around here you would have to order a non arctic 460/660, everybody that runs stihls use the arctic cause the snow gets to the other saws

Arctic

Billy Bob, the "Arctic" has heated carbs in addition to handles.
It is the "W" models, like my 361W, that has just heated handles.

Over here neither the 460 or 660 is listed as available without heated handles (the 440 isn't listed at all). On the 361 and 260 it is optional.

Husky and Jred has a much wider selection of models with these option.

Heated handles is really nice in cold and/or wet conditions! :)

The down side is thet they add about .2 to .4 lbs to the saws weight.
