A friend of mine has started climbing and is looking for a set of gaffs. As with most money is an issue and if he can save some it would make him happy. Let me know.

I found a good set of Bucks 3" nonreplaceable at a local pawn shop 100.00 May be a good place to look

Sweet deal!

I imagine that aluminum set had top and bottom straps too. With an out-of-the box set of steel climbers, there are no top straps, bottom straps nor pads. This adds about $45 to the price of the new spurs (which list for $129. I would say Koa Man scored like a Big Dog.
