Rootx is a product used to kill roots entering sewer lines and meant to keep them out. I wonder if anyone has any involvement with this product. I have a client who has a couple of huge trees that are blocking their sewer flow as seen on a camera put in the line.

Their suggestion was first to dig the pipe which almost surely would kill the 200 year old Bur oak. Next was to rout out the sewer line and then use this product...any opinions on this treatment said to just kill the part of the tree in the line. Seems unlikely that other injury not so localized would not happen.
