Looks like a good saw but could be a nightmare. Only takes a few minutes of straight gas to ruin a saw, it is a Stihl though.

Sorry, I'm not in the market anymore...

I've bought 5 saws in the last 6 months or so, two of which I even bought off of Ebay. I figured it was about time to update my inventory.

It is nice to see that a seller is willing to take the time and at least clean the crud out of the chain bay.

As far as sellers are concerned, If I was in the market that seller has a 99.8% positive rating with 1518 sales. Not too shabby. Also, he has other 2 cycle mostly Stihl stuff for sale. I'd be tempted if I had more money to burn.

I think this is also my 100th Post.....

Sorry to say, that might be the case - I wouldn't buy that one, just looks too good for a used saw......

I can't vouch for this specific saw, but i have purchased a big lot of part saws from this seller that I wasn't too excited about. His packaging left a lot to be desired so the most valuable part saw in the lot got damaged during shipment. Some of the other parts in the lot looked good in the pictures (he took pics of the good side lol), but instead should have been thrown away.

if'n anyone is interested in this saw, wait until I resolve my current issue with this seller. i bought a 36" bar from him in "great condition". Without going into specifics, let's just say my idea of "great" and his seem to be different.

He hasn't responded yet to me yet so I don't know if he's going to make it right but regardless, I"ll let y'all know...

I stand corrected...

... as far as his rating goes it doesn't look to bad.

I agree with SawTroll in that it looks "too clean" and I hope the new owner is satisfied with the condition. Unfortunately, Ebay sometimes isn't the best option.

I've done really well and been lucky with the few saws I've purchased off their site. And I've for the most part been satisfied with the other items I've bought.

Once upon a time I purchased a tractor off of ebay for the rear tires which were advertised as mint condition. When I went to pick the tractor up I found that they were terribly weather cracked. Luckily, no money was exchanged and I drove home the only expense was my transportation costs.

He later resold it again on Ebay and the buyer was satisfied with their purchase. Just goes to show you that one man's junk can be another's treasure.

In order to make it right with him you will need to contact him via the phone. I had to with the transaction I mentioned above.

PM me the phone number then, please. because i'll probably forget this post by the time I get home....

Pm sent. If you have a transaction with an ebay user your able to get their contact information by filling out a simple form. Good luck

Two less than satisfied AS-bayers is enough rep for me, I'd let this one go.........

Now if it was a $200 Buy it Now, I might reconsider.

Well, I got an email back and he agreed to refund me what I asked for. Hasn't gone through yet but was amiable about the process....

and just to close the loop... got my refund over the weekend.

didn't have to call - email conversation. I'd buy from the person again if the price was right but I'd ask detailed questions first. Nice enough guy but a bit too loosy-goosy with the descriptions.

The 36" bar was described a being in "great" condition but the sprocket tip was frozen - as in the darn thing wouldn't spin at all. Bar was straight but there was was wear on the edges - 10 minutes with the file took care of that. $50 for the bar, $15 for shipping and a $15 refund. Now I just have to order the the new tip....
