Hi, so I've been pondering purchasing a mechanical ascender for while. Now my attention is on the soon to be released Rope Runner. I figured it might be Wise to wait before the thing has been officially released on March 1st to see what sort of feed back it get's ( to avoid a Zig-Zag type recall). However, it looks promising and I'm tempted to put my order in. Before I do, I wanted to know how well it works Ddrt ( I know it' was made for SRT ) and how does it handle the daily wear and tear of commercial climbing. All the videos I've seen so far seem to be more recreational climbs than work scenarios. Thank you for any information!

Ya wondering if I should pre order as well. Used my hitch hiker for a full season with minimal wear, and periodically changing cordage. One thing I like about the hitch hiker is that I can choke it to stick(pines mainly) when I'm chunking them down. Wondering if this will work similar for that application.

I would imagine there will be too much friction on the line for ddrt. If you are climbing on a friction hitch and looking for an improvement I would suggest a zz or even a hitch climber pulley. They are both vast improvements on a basic friction hitch.
