Is there anyone else out there that has tried mounting a swivel wheel on the tongue of the splitter? If so how did you deal with the twist that arises in the tongue?

Thanks

Dave

i dont have a speeco but a friend of mine has the 22ton and i would either box in the exsiting tounge or get a length of 3x3 i think it is and make my own. it seems a little on the flimsy side compared to a piece that is a full square. i would make sure the jack was adjustable for height cause it would be handy to help level the machine:cheers:

I know youre out there.....I can hear you breathing:cheers:

Dave, Just came across your post about using a wheeled trailer jack on a Speeco 25T splitter. I took the wheel off and did my best to flatten the two metal pieces that held the wheel. Pics attached.

Ya I know I am digging up an old post:innocent:

Its still relevant so thanks:)
I find this setup works well for me because of the crazy places I split wood. This allows me to get the splitter level with the tongue either 4 inches off the ground or by using a block having it 18+ inches off the ground.
I don't have many flat areas around my place to split wood.
