Applying preservative...

How soon should you apply a preservative after you mill your log? I'm considering using "SEAL ONCE" as they say it penetrates and becomes part of the cell structure and horizontal surfaces will last 5 years.

Are you asking about sealing the ends of cut boards?? If so, its easier to apply before you mill....Anchorsear is also probably cheaper, or a few coats of latex.

I want to seal the ends as well as the long dimensions.
