For what? Diagnosis with no followup. Tree risk Assessment with written report. Appraisals, etc.... all different depending on scope of project. I estimate in my mind how much time it will take and quote a price based on that.
I plan to charge consultations for on-site inspection, just verbal for $150 (no report included)
Risk Assessment with written reports for $550
And Regular Arborist reports for $300
Does this pricing sounds reasonable, you think? Or am I charging too much..
Regular Arborist report for me is just for private tree removal applications. With Spring just around the corner, we are getting a number of requests for this.
I wanted to make use of ofr my certification not just to sit around and deal with paperwork in the office with stubborn employees. LOL!
Yeah, I've heard in Toronto, for a private tree, if its more than 30 CM DBH you have to get a permit, Even if its your own tree, within your property and you planted it.
Almost similar here in BC
Will you charge $300 to do the report, if it says the removal isn't justified (by whatever measure they use)? I'd probably charge the $150 non-report visit fee to look over the tree. If I couldn't justify the removal by the standards, I'd offer to leave it at that. If I needed to write a follow-up report, charge the extra $150. Of course, this would be discussed over the phone before scheduling the visit.
