I was looking at afleetcommand 's videos on the Farmertech saws.
And yet online I see them listed as Farmertech Holzfforma saws.
Just wondering whats the story on them, is this two companies,
or just one with two names.

I looked up the saws because I see they now advertise pro as in G660Pro
under the double name.
These seem to have an Italian cylinder, Meteor Piston and Caber rings,
I take it the non pro versions do not have such luxuries.

I also see someone named after a metal and an animal said the Pro version
now seems to have a harder crank, which apparently was a weak point in
the non pro versions.

Just curious, my money will still go on the proven brands, took a pot shot
earlier on on what is deceitfully advertised as an Italian saw brand and
bought a GS520, would I buy one again, no, they are Chinese made, and
the parts are not easy to get, I think they know what they made and know
fine well no one will want parts after the hassle they bring.

Yes same company.

Use Farmertec when searching for their online website. The Holz is what is on the saws along with FT.

Newest release G395. I like checking them out myself.

G888 G660 G444 G466 G288 G372 pro etc etc

660's have always broke cranks behind the clutch. OEM and aftermarket. Lot of guys use them on mills.

I really like my G660. It's the non pro version, but has held up well so far. I did a mod on the muffler with a tune and it runs pissah with a 32" Stihl bar and full c chain.

My G372XP took a bit to dial in. She would die pulling out of a cut. I suspect the Walbro equipped pro version would be easier but I wanted orange.

There is also a company called Neotec that sells the "660" version. Famertec was more well known to me, so that's what I went with.

Thanks for posting. I understand now, one is a marketing outfit the other is the producer.

@RedneckChainsawRepair , thanks for posting, I can't wait
for them to make a MS400 copy. But for now I will keep on
looking for a good condition genuine model. They are improving
all the time, but how much time will it take for them to get real
serious, if they have the tools and materials they should be on
track for 2030, if monkeypox isnt the next big grenade to land.

That will likely not happen anytime soon, because the MS400 is stlll being made and sold by Stihl obviously, my guess is it will still do for quite some time since its a brand new saw. You will likely have to wait till it becomes "aftermarked", basically thats no longer made and sold OEM - spells; outdated.
