i have a '98 model aplundh whisper drum chipper and am trying to take the blades off. i got the rotor locked like it says and the 3 long bolts and 1 short bolt out, but not sure where the jack hole bolt is like the decal says to remove them by using one of the wedge bolts.
Is is the short bolt on each of the blades?

My manual doesnt tell me how to change them or bolt locations.

Short hole

Put the long bolt in the short bolt hole and screw it in until it pops the the Blade locking wedge up.

Don't foget to put lots of never seez on the bolts when you put it back together.

Good Luck,
Chip

thats it and 120 lbs on the bolts tom trees

Torque

In my EXTREMELY overpriced manual it says to torque to 120 lbs then hit the wedge with a hammer and drift next to each of the three bolts. Then retorque. I did this three times and was suprised how much more they tightened up. Believe me you don't want a blade to come loose.
