Just bought an old asplundh whisper chipper. Blades seem ok but doesn't want to feed. Looking for diagram and info on how to set knives and how the whole "anvil" or "bed knife" that people refer to works.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Nordy

Many times they don't feed because the blades are installed with out adjusting them to the bore of the drum. It is already explained do a search on whisper or drum chippers but the blades have to be adjusted first because they are usually different widths unless you buy new each time instead of sharpening. The bore has an adjustment indicator margin that is visible after loosening the wedge slide the blade over toward the housing and you should see what I am talking about. Anyway many may have the manuals that could be useful to you but this is one of the most normal reasons for the chipper not chipping!
