I am going to look at one of these units and want to know how to tell if the tracks are worn out. Anyone know of other common wear items or likely problems to look for with this particular machine?Any help would be appreciated.

man i was ATE up with green track envy for a while. finally after talking with numerous dealers and other individuals i settled on the 80 series (which you cannot get the greenies for ) and man am i glad i did. unless your going strictly on golf course quality surface do yourself a favor and get a machine with some power. the largest machine with green tracks is the 60. i could not imagine spending that kind of money on a machine and not being able to haul prize timber out of a yard. a 16 foot 24in. dia poplar log is all my 80 wants. plus i can operate my 80 on any improved surface leaving barely a trace just by using a few simple control techniques and when my neighbors cousins aunt needs some dirt work done or her driveway graded i don't have to worry about filleting my 6000 dollar set of green tracks. so if there is any other way i can talk you out of making a huge mistake please let me know

green tracks

This is a used machine that already has the green tracks. Is the rest of the undercarriage the same as far as when the green tracks wear out can you just put on regular tracks? I have an 1845c and my brother has a 963 so we are set for a bigger machine. I am looking for something to haul logs/ brush to the grapple truck.
