I continue to mill my way through what was apparently a small forest of urban cherry trees that were cut down this autumn by city crews.
Wasn't sure if we were going to make it out there today, the weather forecast was 90% chance of rain and I am getting soft, plus I had a flare-up of back pain yesterday, no doubt due to moving a bunch of heavy slabs around.
Anyways, the day dawned and there we were at the beach around 8:30 or so. Skies were leaden, but no rain.
The city crews set up a couple short logs, and we went at them. Had some technical difficulties with my 3120, it wouldn't start despite hurling the finest curses at it, eventually had to switch that powerhead out, but got the job done with the old reliable 2100 after that.
Left a bit of meat on the first log, my buddy bucked the rest up for turning blanks.
