Avitar help

I am trying to change my avitar but having trouble. The picture is small enough but the file is too big. I am using ulead Photo-express (price was right ...free) . Can anyone help?

This is the new firewood getting truck by the way. I've had OVER 2,200 lbs in the bed with no strain ............. on the truck.
