Hi everybody,
Can enybody help me please with my 2 year old potted avocado. It start to develop abnormal small buds and leaves that remain at the stage of buds, do not grow to normal size, it s seems that is something related to nutrient or lack of them or something wrong with the soil, but I don t know what it is.
Did you see this before, or do you know what i have to do to save it? If you do please be so kind and share your experience in avocado with me.
I forgot to mention that my avocado is planted from a seed of a grocery fruit.
Thank you in advanced.
I try to upload a picture or two if I can.View attachment 259855View attachment 259856View attachment 259857

Thank you Raintree,
It is very interesting because the efects of injury that you mentioned looks like the bad growth on my avocado. The fact is that the plant it is an indoor plant actualy in my livingroom and I never used chemicals on my plants, no need to. Also, no mealybugs on my avocado, just some red spider mite that I wash out with the shower.
I m upset because it was growing so fine with large exotic leaves and now is just stoped and grow only small, undeveloped buds. I think It is dieing.
Should i prune the abnormal growth? What can I do to save it?
Thank you for your time.

Just guessing here, so take it for what it's worth. If we can rule out Chemicals & insect/mite damage. It could be that your plant is developing a witches broom. I would be inclined to prune out the abnormal growth.

Keep this in mind that there can be insect problem or any nutrition issue. Try to do care of your plants and give them proper nutrition to growth because they need it.
