Avocados have what they call,''perfect flowers''. That means each flower is both male and female. So there are no male or female trees. Whats different about a Avocado though is the way the perfect blossoms work. They take shifts. they might b e male in the morning, and female in the evening. or visa versa, and can self pollinate them selfs.

Some trees have only male or female parts, some have male and female parts on the same trees, and some are hermaphroditics, or perfect(for the plant world)that have flowers that are both male and female, like the avacado.
