I have had to replace the fuel pump twice on my Rayco 1635 Jr. within 150 hours, I was wondering if anyone else was having similar problems........Thanks

You may want to get your fuel from a different place. Sounds like something is tearing up the rubber in the pump.

Well over 1,000 hours no issue's. Make sure your fuel tank is vented properlly and there are no restrictions in the fuel lines or filter that is making the pump work harder than it should.

Thanks for the response...........I get gas at different stations and always run 93 octane and add stabil with every tank. Change the fuel filter often and have replaced all the fuel line. I think I might try swapping out the gas cap to see if it makes a difference. Thanks

They are changing most of their big block gas engines to a vacuum operated pump. The mechanical one down in between the cylinders was prone to failure and vapor lock from the heat.

There is a changeover kit available from Vanguard.

Thanks Bigstumps! I think that is what I am experiencing. I will try and find the information on the change over kit.
