Bad chain

Purchased a couple of loops of Carlton chain. One loop that came in was Oregon, about 1/3 of the loop had bumpers on it, the rest was full chisel. Vendor made good and replaced it.
I was told to just pitch the chain. I think I will because the tension on the chain is different if the bumper links are on the sprocket or not.

Make a knife out of it

cut the bumpers off and run it, it will cut fine

It’s still full chisel chain regardless of whether it has bumpers or not. Grind the extra bumpers off and run it, or run the way it is
