not really for me but for my company, someone dropped the ball on the estimate....we got our work order this morning and headed out to 'remove one tree back right corner of house, stump cut flush" cool right get there lil maple tree cool lets do it....1 log left to cut from the ground and we were cleanin up first. HO came home, boss says hope you dont mind we cut a cpl dead limbs on that cherry there.
HO, "o thats nice but you wernt suposed to cut the whole tree down just the side over the neighbors fence." oops

so if the person doin the estimate is not doing the work make sure all is outlined correctly,
i even said IDK why they want this tree cut down?

she was pissed to say the least idk we got outa there we lettin bossman owner(guy who did the estimate) take care of that...hehe we just did what was on the paper lady?/?

I had a job this spring where I was to take down 4 black birch trees, all leaning towards the road. Nothing crazy. A friend of mine (at the time) was helping me, and I explained to him EXACTLY what was being done. Well I don't know how this happened, but somehow the moron managed to drop a poplar tree that was leaning AWAY from the road, and towards the house. I never asked him for help again.

not the wrong tree just to much of the tree lol

Poor communications on the part of the spec writer. What hort type person would call a double stem tree two trees?

Last week I was doing line-of-site work for a bluff view for a regular client. He says take down the boxelder with the vines that is in the way of the view to the south. I say it's an ash, go down and notch it, he yells that it is the wrong tree, he meant a previously topped box elder that was not in much of the view that had vines removed and a few leaves left.....

My tree opened up more view, and it is an ash, they are going to dies anyways from EAB

And it happened again yesterday. :censored:

Took a tree out for a landscaper who is working for the builder. They made an agreement with the neighbor to take out this tree on the neighbors property in exchange to allow the landscaper to build a retaining wall in its place along the property line. The neighbor does this total Jeckyl and Hyde move on us. :dizzy: One minute, shes telling us great job, looks good, thank you thank you. 5 minutes later we're doing it all wrong and her property is a mess blah blah blah. At that point I'm trying to do everything right so as not to annoy her anymore.

Sure enough, a branch comes down and damages her fence, a small post and wire fence. :censored: One of the posts came loose at the base. I told her to call the fence company and get it fixed, send me the bill. Shes says don't worry, she thinks I would be able to fix it no problem so why call the fence company? I agree and continue to finish the tree.

End of the day I go to fix the fence and she says she doesn't want me to fix the fence, that the fence company has to do it.:confused:

At this point, I ask you guys, do I let the fence company fix it and pay out of pocket or do I have the insurance company deal with it? I refuse to talk to this woman anymore for fear of what's next and I'm informing the builder and landscaper to stay away from dealing with her also.

Probably will be cheaper in the long run to pay for it yourself. Insurance deductible, possible rate increase, etc.
Do you know the fence co. and can you deal with them directly?

I actually just got off the phone with the builder and he tells me through his conversations with the woman early on in the project, she built the fence herself, not a fence company!!:censored: She actually told me the name of a local fence company when I asked who put it in. What a :censored:! So considering nothing is broken and she put the fence in, how is a number put on the issue? What is her labor rate worth when working on her own landscaping? I'll tell you this, I won't do it for her, no way, no how.

And yes, I do know the fence company she mentioned and will be calling them with pictures in the morning as well as my insurance company.

:censored:!!
