I was wondering if it is the same stuff, by name, as the can I got from the gun shop. They say multi-use lube and corrosion inhibitor. The label on the can looks different, but the same name. I personaly do not like it as it has a smell like a wet, dirty, dog. I'm sayin it stinks.... :)

I have used the hell out of it. Interesting stuff really.

Never on a throw line though, couldn't tell ya in that regard.

It's one of those light oils that penetrates and has some decent lube qualitys and enough corrosion inhibitors to qualify as a decent firearms lube, and a GP shop oil.

Some folks use it for everything and will claim it takes dents outta dishpans, cure E.D. and turn your fat, ugly, prom date into a solid 9.

I can see where it bieng so light that it would work on a throw line, but then Pam cooking spray will do the same.;)

Stay safe!
