Wher ewould i find info on the belt driven governor on my chipper. Its a 6 cyl ford. THe previous owner installed a new one and I dont think it is installed correctly. The throttle is very touchy. Is it suppose to have just the rod from the governor arm to the throttle shaft or should there be a return spring in there some where. A pic would be great! Thank you guys

The govenor should be mounted on the front of the engine and is driven by the fan belt or a belt from the alternator. For adjustments I would call a industrial ford dealer and they may fax you the procedure.

mrauto, if you look up al old post of mine about a throttle linkage, it shows the spring/linkage setup on my asplundh with a 6 cylinder ford.
