I have only changed the blades on this machine a couple times and have not figured out how to set the anvil?

I have the manual and understand how to adjust it, but I can't even see it inside the drum housing. I mean I can sort of see it if I lean my head against the wheel and look down in there but there's no way that I can figure out how to check the gap with a feeler gauge????

Am I just missing something simple here that I'm not seeing? There is nothing in the manual about how to check , it only shows a blowup of the parts.

You are going to have to use the ram (if you have the downpressure option) to lift the feed wheels OR more likely you will need to use the tounge jack to raise the feedwheels. Be very careful as stated above

I've done it plenty of times on the old whipper chipper but I thought I had a state of the art machine now that I wouldn't have to crawl inside to adjust:confused: I wonder why they don't have some kind of access door right on that side??????

I Have A Bandit 200 Chipper With The Auto Feed And The Hydraulic Crusher .i Leave It In Gage And Raise It At Full Speed Then Place The Bar In Place To Get Access To The Anvil.(THEN SHUT IT DOWN AND LET IT STOP) You Have To Have Someone Turn The Disk Then Use A 20,thousands Gauge, It Is Not Really Hard To Do. The Gauge You Use, You Can Get At The Dealer That Is Made To Do The Job, Not Costly At All, Good Luck
