Yes and no. If the saws both require the same length of band, and you bandsaw is heavy enough to run a sawmill band, then yeah they interchange. But normally a sawmill band is thicker kerf and 1.25" wide. A 19" or larger bandsaw could probably handle a sawmill band with no problem.

Mine is 158". I don't have a bandsaw to accept it. I have small Lumbersmith sawmill that takes 93" blades, and tried one on my shop saw but too big by just a little. A bigger shop saw will handle a 1.25" sawmill blade just fine if compatible length.

I don't own bandsaw mill but I own bandsaw that I usually use in resawing. I am not really into chainsaws or mill but I wanna learn more about it.

It would be one he!! of a bandsaw, to beable to take the tension it takes to run a bandsaw mill band! No wimpy home owner model will do it... Also, think about the width of a BSM band!

The Rockwell bandsaw in my shop is rated to take 3/4" wide bands max. My BSM runs 1-1/4" wide bands. I run 1/4" bands on my Rockwell 99% of the time, even for resawing.
