I use the poulan or whatever that bar oil is in walmart... Same :censored: in my opinion... Never had any problems and been using it in my stihls poulans homelite and everything I even use the mixture oil from there as well no problems either....

Use poulan from Walmart,,, $5.17 a gallon. That's what my Game of Logging instructor said to use and I agree. I'll pay extra for a stihl saw but I won't pay extra for bar oil. I'd like to know what makes Stihl bar oil 3 times as high? It's a gimmick, that's what. Nobody is going to sit here and tell me that it has special properties that makes the bar/chain/sproket last longer. Prove it. Everytime you buy a gallon of Poulan oil put 10bucks in a jar. When your bar wears out grab the jar full of FREE $10 bills. Make your order to Bailey's for a new bar.

I used to use WalMart oil but it was inconsistant and seemed not to be tacky enough. I also used Power Blend (or whatever it was called) from Home Depot, and Poulon. Poulon was good stuff and really cheap in price, but no longer available at the place I bought it at. So I have been using a bar oil that they sell at Bi-Mart in the PNW called Durex made in Portland, OR. It has a red dye for seeing it better on the bar. Runs about $6.99 a gallon.

Tractor Supply, I bought 20 gallons two weekends ago for 6.99 a gallon on sale. It is tackier than the stihl stuff. In the winter if it is too thick put alittle off road deisel in it.

In winter I just bring the bar oil into the kitchen and put it under the sink to warm it overnight. Then it usually stays thin enough to work during the day. This is bacause I could not find any winter bar oil here in the PNW, so I had to improvise.

Just went to Walmart today..$5.75 a gal for thier brand bar oil..I looked for the Poulan brand..guess they dont sell chain saws there..dont sell guns at that store either..maybe they know something I dont..LOL
