Somebody offered me a pair of Bashlin spikes which I may or may not take tomorow. I have a pair of Buckinghams already which I use and like. The idea of a spare pair is nice though. So, what are your overall opinions on the Bashlins, and what is a good pad to put on it?

i own bashlins i got em cheap, but when ive had a kit supplied i found the bucks more comfortable, bashlins are a little straighter near the spike IMO.

I don't have a very good basis to form an opinion on them because I only used them once on a little dinky hemlock. I do know that they have the chinsy T pads on them, which would make just about any gaff feel like junk. I also know that they haven't been used more than 5 times.

I own Bashlins & prefer them to Buckinghams & Komets,Asa Gypo says get some wrap arpunds they will make life easier,Im getting some when i have the spare cash.

I use Kliens now, but I would relgiously wear my Stinger Brooks. Those gaffs were my favorite, but they are hard to find parts for anymore.
