do these pads and spurs go together? I've had an offer of a second hand pair of bashlins that are in good condition but from all the rave reviews I've got my heart set on caddy pads and I know they're not compatible with all spurs. Does anyone know if this combo works?

Thanks,
Shaun

I tried it a few years ago and they didn't work. I could get the caddys on the shank, but the angle was all wrong.

I have bashlin spurs with The aluminum pads I am assuming you are refering to . I love mine . Now...I did use a SOFT mallet to TAP them in place . After they were seated down i adjusted them alittle to match my shins . Then I GENTLY TAPPED again with the soft mallet along the edge wear the shank screws are exposed . I did that 3 or four years ago and they have just recently loosed up a little and I am sure a few gentle taps here n there will firm things back in place . "caddies" may work better on other spurs , but I wouldn't know because my bashlins are so damn good that they are the only spurs I will likely ever own . I bought em 22 years ago . I wish I had put caddies on em along time ago . I would like a pair of carbon fiber komets but they are just to much $$$ when I already have top of da line spurs IMO.

I have the aluminum bashlins with the caddy pads and they work fine. I was told that they wouldn't, then I was told they would with some filing, then I bought them and slipped them right on and went to work.

I have them on Bashlins as well. One fit snugly and was tapped on with a rubber mallet, the other required some filing prior to the tapping. The soft aluminum on the pad is easy to file and didn't change the structural integrity of the pad.
