interesting, you could use an air cannon to shoot some fishing line up to a high branch to run the rope. We do that for ham radio antennas in the field but then your putting a lot of faith in that branch.
I like that battery powered ascender! Reverse is a great feature.
For the foreseeable future I'll be using my two stroke Wraptor. No reverse. I climb off of a fitting on Wraptor designed for such use. Usually when I get up in the tree I lower the Wraptor to the ground. If it's a simple up and down I climb off it like when harvesting this seven pound Lion's mane mushroom.
