I moved up very quickly from electric through cheap gas-powered Poulan and finally to Stihl extended reach hedge trimmers. If you have so few hedges that you can manage them with an electric, much less a battery powered, then just buy a high quality set of manual hedge shears.

I will never go back to electric hedge trimmers. I would run an electric string trimmer or blower before I would back off the power on the hedge trimmer.

Considering that you already run two Stihl saws, a big backpack blower, and a big block Vette, you must appreciate real power.

Have been using a cordless Saw-Z-All for my trimming of larger hedges my
electric B&D hedge trimmer can't cut without killing it. I just put a large
10 or 12" wood blade on it,and let her rip, works great if you want battery
power that's light.LOL.
