Hey all, I currently work in tree removal and would like to take classes on climbing in central Massachusetts. Any suggestions, places to go or advice on starting this process?

I would start with your boss. Ask if he/she can provide any training and go from there.

I am from central MA also and went through TCI to find an instructor in western MA to teach me. It was a day long process and learned MRS and SRS systems enough to buy my own gear and practice.

Two books I've read that are full of information are "The Tree Climbers Companion" by Jeff Jepson and "The Fundamentals of General Tree Work" by G.F. Beranek.
