Best 75ft Forestry Bucket Truck?

I am looking to buy a used 75 ft forestry truck, but I do not know if it should be gas powered or diesel? I believe a diesel would be better because it would probably outlast a gas engine, but I believe most diesel trucks do not have auxiliary pony motors so a lot of idle hours would accumulate over time. Please let me know what you think. Thanks
