We run full house square chisel on ours with an 8 tooth. No problems, the saw pulls it just fine.

Not to nitpick, but "full house" actually means a cutter for every drive link. Full comp is the term for the configuration you run, and seemingly most common back east.
There is a production full house chain, made for firefighters.

I run full skip on bars over 28, semi skip on 24-28, and full comp on 16-24.

Sorry, it's full comp. Point is, the saw will pull it just fine in big maple and oak, ash etc. It works well in hardwoods or softwoods. We cut a lot of roadside trees with this saw. Only disadvantage that I can see is when you hit a nail it takes forever to file! :D

I can't comment on skip vs full comp, but I suggest RSK if you are borecutting a lot (or maybe Oregon LP), and RS/RSC if not (larger rakers).......
