I just ordered a new stihl ms200t and was wondering what you guys consider the best chain to run on it? I run the Rapid Super on my 044.

either the stihl rapid micro or picco micro...mine came with the picco micro 1 on it...it is low kickback chain..i swapped up for the picco micro.

Whatever the lopro chain they give for pros on that saw is fine. I bought a roll of the Carlton skip chain not the best for all species. I will go back to the Stihl chain when this roll is gone.

Chris,
You need to do more to the muffler than drill a few holes. There are interlacing "fingers" right where the muffler connects to the exhaust port on the cylinder. These must be removed. To do so is a pain. PM me and I'll explain it in detail. I am buying a role of the oregon 91vs chain. It is a "chamfered Chisel" and is supposed to be the fastest 3/8 lo pro. I'll let you know.

I wonder, How many of us judged in falling timber, bucking, cutting brush, would actually be called a good sawyer by a panel of three experienced in each categoy?

I couldn't see a big difference in cutting with that PMN chain, I tried a loop when it first came out, it doesn't hold up as well as the regular 3/8 Picco, unless Sthil has improved upon it, since it was first introduced .

It was introduced to go with the low end consumer saws, that don't crank out the high rpm the pro saws do.

I only run that PMN narrow kerf chain on our power pruners.
